ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- A bad taste in the tap water has some south St. Louis residents concerned.

Several people say they have found cloudy, weird tasting water coming out of their taps.

The water commissioner says it is caused by snow melting along the upper Missouri River and more than normal amount or organic material into the source that flows toward St. Louis.

The city says it has stepped up filtration and is confident the water is safe.

Still some residents are not taking chances and drinking bottled water or Gatorade.
