KIRKWOOD, MO (KTVI)-- Our severe winter weather is wreaking havoc on area school district calendars.

Administrators are trying to makeup snow days without extending the school year, but there isn't much they can do.

5,600 Kirkwood students scheduled to get out of school on May 29th will now attend classes until June second.

In Potosi, schools were originally scheduled to end the year on May 16th now it's May 30th.
