(CNN) – A pilot is still missing Monday after a fighter jet crashed over the weekend.

The F/A-18C Hornet, manufactured in St. Louis, crashed near a U.S. Navy range near Reno, Nevada Saturday. The jet went down on a training mission at Naval Air Station Fallon, popular for its “more than 300 clear flying days per year”. But, it crashed in a remote mountainous area, where a snowstorm made getting to the scene more difficult.
