ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Some St. Louis Educators believe pre-school children should do more playing than participating in a traditional classroom setting. The Jewish Community Center in St. Louis has adopted what is called "Project Construct" for its early childhood program.

Whether they are building , drawing or painting the goal is to build self-confidence in young children so they will want to ask questions. JCC educators say Project Construct also helps children get along with each other while playing and they learn respect for one another and adults.

The pre-school is one of the many programs at the Jewish Community Center that will benefit from a fundraiser this weekend. "Dancing In The Loop" will be held at the Pageant Theatre in the Delmar Loop, Saturday evening, doors open at 6:30pm. The competition begins at 8pm.
