(KPLR) – In Monday’s “The Way It Oughta Be”, it's the way of the future but is it an improvement?

There's been a lot of talk lately concerning how to improve traffic patterns in the future.

Some companies have devised something called smart roads.  Technology allows a city to collect information about cars traveling over streets.

Some of the information includes storing license plate numbers.  I know that makes a lot of people nervous, but here's what I want to know.

Why would we call it a smart road if it can't hold up after a winter storm? Get rid of potholes and I'd be willing to call the street a genius.
