NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KPLR) – Investigators want to know why a home burned near Florissant overnight.

A witness said flames took over the two-story house on Shadowcreek Drive near Grants Parkway around 2:15 a.m. Monday.  Firefighters knocked down the flames within 20 minutes.  Bomb and Arson investigators were called to the scene, reportedly because the investigator for the department was out of town, not because the fire is suspicious.

There is no word on any injuries.
