ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Four different vendors are testing their credit card pay meters downtown, but some downtown workers are having some issues trying to pay.

There are four locations are testing out the meters: 10th Street between Chestnut and Washington, Euclid and Laclede and Laclede and Maryland, and Broadway and.

The city is testing until this fall, when they will decide which vendor they like the most and then transition from coin meters to credit card/cash meters.

But some drivers are having some issues trying to figure out how to use the machines.

The city treasurer's office says that you should not leave your car if the meter is not working. They say if you have to leave, put a note on your dash.

Also take a picture of the meter so you can document the error and call them to report it at 622-4700 so they can get the problem fixed.
