St. Peters to host “Race to Recycling”

ST. PETERS MO (KPLR) – The City of St. Peters is sponsoring a “Race to Recycling” to get residents learn about the St. Peters recycling city.  The race will be held on Saturday, April  5th at 7 am.

Runners and walkers are both invited to the event which will feature a Duathlon or a one mile fun run/walk for area residents.

The Duathlon will consist of a 2.5 mile run, a 15-mile bike ride, followed by a second 2.5 mile run, and is open to individuals or teams. Awards will be handed off to the top finishers.

The fun run/walk is open to anyone, and is a great family event for the spring.

Free race shirts will be available for the 100 Run/Walk entrants, first 100 individual Duathlon entrants, and first 25 Duathlon teams (2 per team).

Entry fees for the Duathlon are $37 for individuals, $47 for two person teams through March 23rd. Fees will be $47 and $57 after March 24th. The fee for the run/walk is $15 per person.

After the race, the public is invited to attend a Recycle City Open House with displays, tours of the recycling center and more between 9 am and 1 pm.
