Cub Scout tradition for fathers and sons to remember

(KPLR) – In Wednesday’s “The Way It Oughta Be”, it's a father son race where the dad's have taken over.

I've heard some pretty funny stories about pinewood derby races in the St. Louis area.

It's a Cub Scout tradition.  I made one when I was a kid.  Well, I think my dad did most of the work.

It seems the kid with a dad who worked as an engineer with Boeing always had an upper hand.

I don't know why, but it seems the dads were always more intense about winning.  They shouldn't worry about it so much.  I don't even remember who won the race when I was a kid.  I just remember building a car with my dad.  That's the best part.

I'm JB, and that's “The Way It Oughta Be”.
