Traffic stop leads to police officer being injured

MOLINE ACRES, MO (KTVI) – A traffic stop in Moline Acres ends with a police officer being taken to the hospital. It happened this Tuesday afternoon at Chambers and Monarch.

An officer running radar pulled a woman over for speeding. She allegedly began arguing with officer and pulled away injuring officer.

The woman was arrested a short time later.

Police say there was a 3-year-old was inside her car, and has been put in the custody of a grandmother.

The officer was taken to the hospital.
