ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation say about 210 snow plows were on roads and highways in the St. Louis area Tuesday morning, and will continue into the night.

The snow plows are out treating roads as the latest winter storm is rolling into the St . Louis area; as the area is expecting between 2 to 7 inches of snow before the Wednesday morning.

A “no travel advisory” has been issued by the Missouri Department of Transportation for Missouri drivers. The Illinois Department of Transportation is reporting clear roads for now, but has the majority of crews out treating roads.

Many school districts are dismissing classes early, along with area businesses letting workers leave early to get home before the brunt of the winter storm hits.
