Player in St. Clair County judge drug scandal to be sentenced Thursday

(KTVI) – The man who admits to selling heroin to former St. Clair County judge Michael Cook will be sentenced in East St. Louis Thursday.

Sean McGilvery pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin.  He could get 10 years to life in prison.  Cook was arrested at McGilvery’s home in Belleville last Spring.

Court documents show he was a regular customer.  Cook pleaded guilty to Heroin Possession and will be sentenced next month.
