Brothers arrested for string of burglaries

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis County Police have arrested two brothers from St. Louis City for a string of burglaries that had occurred the Affton, and south St. Louis County.

Joseph Been, 36 and Mark Breen, 28 have been charged by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with 47 counts of burglary.  Joseph Been was charged with 34 counts and his brother Mark with 13 counts.

It’s alleged the brothers started the string of burglaries in October 2013, and continued till November 27th, when they were arrested.  Police say the suspects would throw an object through a glass door or window to gain access to a business and steal cash from cash registers.

Bond has been set at $30,000 each for the brothers.
