Amber Alert issued for missing 6-month-old Missouri boy

ANDERSON, MO (KTVI)-An Amber Alert has been issued in the abduction of a six month old Missouri boy.  Police say Mitchell Farris was abducted January 2nd from an apartment in Anderson, which is south of Joplin, near the Oklahoma and Arkansas borders.

The suspects are identified as the boy’s parents:  34 year old Preston Wayne Farris and 30 year old Anastasia Lynn McDaniel.  State authorities had placed the boy in the custody of his great-grandfather.

Police say they’re driving a red, 2004 Ford Freestar;  Missouri plates UH7D2R.

A picture of the child has not been released yet.

Anyone seeing the victim, suspects or vehicle or anyone having any information related to the abduction should immediately call 911 or call the Anderson Police Department at 417-845-2681.
