FORISTELL, MO. (KPLR) – Folks in the western part of the viewing area are likely to see the snowflakes fall first.

Drivers on Interstate 70 heading west want to arrive at their destination before the winter storm hits.  Gena Atisner cut short her visit to St. Louis by two days to make sure she made it home to Jefferson City without having to deal with slippery roads.

Carol Kraft works at the TA truck stop in Foristell.  She’s spending Saturday night in a local motel not far from work so she doesn’t have to drive in the weather Sunday morning.

There are still big piles of snow at the truck stop that remain from the last storm.

Owners of cars in the parking lot have covered windshields with tarps to avoid the chore of scraping ice and snow.
