New resort could boost St. Charles County winery tourism

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) –  Here’s some news you want to toast.  St. Charles County’s thriving wine country could soon have on-site lodging.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that the New Quarry Wine Garden and Resort is under construction in New Melle and will open next summer. They have plans to add some cabins for rent by late 2015.

Some wineries in the Augusta area may follow later.
