ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - Christmas came early Monday for patients at Cardinal Glennon Children`s Medical Center.

They not only got a visit from Santa, but he was joined by Cardinals slugger Matt Holliday.

Holliday helped hand out gifts to the kids as part of the "Firetruck O' Toys."

14-year-old Mackenzie Scott and her family from Belleville organized the effort, filling a fire truck with toys and then delivering them.

Mackenzie spent a holiday in the hospital some time ago, and is now committed to making sure hospitalized kids get a toy for Christmas.

She and her family gathered enough gifts to make sure every kid at Cardinal Glennon and other hospitals get one.
