FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI)-- The crowd was smaller than last month`s meeting, but parents were just as passionate. Hundreds of people showed up for Wednesdays Ferguson-Florissant School Board meeting. It was cold outside, but the conversation inside started to heat up when it came to the future of the district superintendent Dr. Art McCoy. The Citizens Taskforce on Excellence in Education led by Lakricia Cox says they`re in his corner while others questioned McCoy`s commitment to the community.

"At this point we know there is no investigation we want them to clearly state to the public with the reasons for the dismissal of Dr. Art McCoy," said Cox.

The 7 board members didn`t make any decisions or respond to questions about McCoy`s future with the district.
