FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Two shootings in Ferguson, Missouri, overnight sent three people to hospitals and have police searching for suspects.

The shootings happened within about three hours of each other and only a little more than a mile apart.

At this point, police say they have no evidence connecting the two incidents.

The second shooting appears to be the more serious. It happened about 1:50am Wednesday on Kirk Drive near West Florissant.

Police say a 30-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were dropping off someone at a home, when someone came up and just started shooting into the car. Police believe the shooter had followed the car from a club where all parties had been earlier. There may have been sme sort of altercation at the club.

Both the man and the woman were hit and rushed to the hospital. They have non-lofe threatening injuries.

It’s unclear how many times they were shot. Police say the victims were conscious and talking as they were taken from the scene. Police add it does not appear the couple was robbed.

The first incident happened on Day Drive about 10:55pm Tuesday.

Police say they were called to a home for a disturbance, but when they arrived they found a 49-year-old woman shot in the wrist.

We’re told that woman’s son was in a dispute with people inside a van and shots wound up being fired.

Police think the woman may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

She is expected to be ok.

Investigators have no suspects in either case.
