FRANKLIN COUNTY, KY – Officials in Kentucky are upping the ante to solve a theft. About a month and a half ago, someone stole nearly 200 bottles of Pappy Van Winkle, a rare bourbon.

Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton says a $10,000 reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.

“You know I think there’s somebody that is very much aware, and they’re waiting for the right motivator. $10,000 ought to motivate anybody, especially in a bourbon case like this. So we are very excited about the opportunity that this brings.” said Sheriff Pat Melton of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office

The bottles of 20-year-old bourbon are worth about $26,000.
