1 dead, 3 injured in north St. Louis rollover accident

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) -  One person is deadand three others critically hurt after a violent crash in north St. Louis.

It happened just before 4:00 a.m. Monday at Kingshighway and Lexington Road in north St. Louis.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle was traveling south on Kingshighway when he may have hit the curb, over-corrected and flipped the car. Three of the four people inside the vehicle were thrown from the car on impact.

Authorities say one victim died on the scene. Three others were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Accident reconstruction crews have been called in to investigate.  Kingshighway is shut down in both directions.
