(KPLR)- Washington University students apparently know how to use their noggins.  Lumosity ranked the St. Louis-based university number one on its “Smartest Colleges 2013” list.

Lumosity creates games that help with brain function. The games are designed to improve memory, attention, flexibility, speed of processing, and problem solving.

The college rankings are based on a brain performance index data collected by Lumosity’s brain training games, not GPA and standardized testing.

Last year’s winner, MIT, came in second.
