Ryan Ferguson spends his first day out of prison

(KPLR) – Tuesday night FOX2 and KPLR11 brought were the first TV stations to bring live coverage of Ryan Ferguson’s release from prison.

Wednesday, Ryan Ferguson spent his full day out of prison.

Reporter Melanie Moon, covered Ferguson’s release, and Wednesday followed up Ryan Ferguson’s first full day out of prison.

Ferguson says, he planning to write a book about his experience with his father, and maybe pursue a career in law to help other persons wrongly accused of a crime.

His father says Ryan is in Florida visiting his grandmother.

Ryan sent out a press release Wednesday thanking all of his supporters around the world, for their support. Those supporters have left comments on his Facebook page, and are contributing in a fundraising campaign at

So far they've raised close to $30,000, with the hope of raising $100,000.
