Cardinals to face Red Sox in World Series

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – It’s official, the St. Louis Cardinals will face the Boston Red Sox in the 2013 World Series.

The games will be aired on FOX2, starting on Wednesday, October 23rd from Boston’s Fenway Park.

This will mark the second time in 9 years the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals will face the American League Champion Boston Red Sox in World Series play. The last time the two team met in the World Series was in 2004, when the Red Sox swept the Cardinals in four games.

Announcers Joe Buck and Tim McCarver will call their record 16th and final World Series together. This is the FOX Network’s 18th year as the television home for the Post-Season.

  • Game 1 – Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:30pm – in Boston
  • Game 2 – Thursday, October 24th at 6:30pm – in Boston
  • Game 3 – Saturday, October 26th at 6:30pm – in St. Louis
  • Game 4 – Sunday, October 27th at  7:00pm – in  St. Louis
  • Game 5 – Monday, October 28th at 6:30pm – in St. Louis (if necessary)
  • Game 6 – Wednesday, October 30th at  6:30pm – in Boston (if necessary)
  • Game 7 – Thursday, October 31st at 6:30pm – in Boston (if necessary)
