Suspect in custody after man stabbed to death

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis police are investigating a deadly incident in south St. Louis. Around 12:15 a.m., police were called to a home in the 7500 block of Vermont for a reported domestic incident.

Officers found a man unconscious and suffering from lacerations to his chest and abdomen inside the home. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four witnesses were taken to police headquarters for questioning. Police say the incident was the result of an ongoing dispute between the victim and his live-in girlfriend’s son.

The victim and suspect were said to have had a physical altercation earlier in the evening. The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife, then left the scene.

The suspect was taken in to custody in St. Louis County by St. Louis County Police.

The investigation continues.
