ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - When the Cardinals last celebrated their victory over Pittsburgh, I was attending a school board meeting in Normandy. It's no secret the district faces some huge challenges.

Here's what I noticed.  No one was scoreboard watching during their meeting.   Everyone was focused on trying to do what they believed to be the right thing.

There was one student who came to speak before the board about the conditions of the band equipment. He didn't leave when he was done.  He stayed for the entire meeting.

I'm told one of the board members gave up a chance to go to game 5 so she could be present for the meeting. That's dedication.  That's putting sports in perspective.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
