(KPLR) - Have you ever seen 1,000 owl butterflies take flight? 

Here's your chance.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is hosting the fourth annual October Owls and Orchids event. 

Throughout October, there will be more than 10 times the standard number of these butterflies which represent three species: Caligo eurilochus, Caligo atreus and Caligo memnon

Owls and Orchids lasts from October 1 through October 31.

Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays)
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
