ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Some Cardinals fans left the St. Louis Sports Zone in Shrewsbury feeling crushed after the Pirates held on to a victory on Sunday.
Others feel confident their team can bounce back with a victory and send the series back to St. Louis.
“Born and bred a Cardinals fan so you have to believe,” said one man.
“I remember 2011 when some fans left early,” said another fan. “So I never give up.”
The post-season is good for the sports bar and restaurant business. The Cardinals still have a potential to play 16 more post season games beginning on Monday.
The owner of Matthew’s Kitchen in the St. Louis is a big baseball fan. He’s also a fan of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
Matthew Unger’s son underwent kidney surgery shortly after birth. Eddie Unger is now a happy, healthy, young boy.
Dad will donate $100 for every home run hit by a Cardinal with the name Matthew. That would include Adams, Carpenter and Holliday.
The restaurant on Hampton Avenue is also offering $1 pig “wings” during playoff games and half price Redbird wine.
