ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The Cardinals were soundly defeated by the Pittsburgh Pirates in game two of the NLDS Friday.

The score was 9-1 and the game was never really close.

Despite the loss, fans are still positive.

"I thought we'd go up two nothing, but now we just have to go to Pittsburgh and put inwork," Mack Caldwell said. "I still believe we got this series."

The defeat was surprising to some after the way the "red birds" performed in game one.

"We couldn't miss the ball, but today we couldn't hit that pitcher," Mark Freeman said.

The series now shifts to Pittsburgh for the next two games.

"We will handle business there," Caldwell said.
