Hip Hop artist and doctor team up to deliver healthy messages to kids

(KPLR) - Health experts are always looking for creative ways to fight childhood obesity.

Now a hip hop star and a neurologist are teaming up to use music to deliver a healthy message to kids. Dr. Olajide Williams has developed a program called hip-hop public health.

He's teamed up with rap star, Doug E. Fresh for a fresh approach on how to get kids moving and moving towards better food choices. Dr. Williams says by using cartoons and catchy lyrics kids can remember, they may be more interested in making healthy choices.
