ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - The Cardinals finished their 2013 regular season on a winning note, shutting down the Cubs 4-0. The win gives the Cardinals the best record in the National League at 97-65. That means the Redbirds will have home field advantage throughout the National League Playoffs. The Cardinals first round opponent will be the Wild Card winner, either the Pirates or the Reds. Cincinnati plays at Pittsburgh in that NL Wild Card game this coming Tuesday night. The Cardinals will begin the playoffs this coming Thursday at Busch Stadium against either the Reds or Pirates.
