ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – 30 million men and women will in the United States suffer from a clinically significant eating disorder during their lifetime. NEDA Walks help raise awareness and funds in the fight against eating disorders. Started in the spring of 2009, NEDA Walks have grown to over 50 walks across the nation each year, raising over $2 million dollars for the cause since their inception!

St. Louis’ NEDA Walk is being held in Tower Grove Park this weekend. The special guest speaker will be Dotsie Bausch.  She is a silver medalist from the 2012 London Olympic Games.

The charitable event is sponsored by the National Eating Disorder Association and is hosted by the Missouri Eating Disorder Association.

The Walk starts and ends at the Sons of Rest Pavillion, at the east end of the park, just off Grand Avenue.
