Road resurfacing to cause traffic delays Thursday-Monday Downtown

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – If you’re going to be traveling to downtown St. Louis this Thursday through Mondays, plan on traffic delays due to resurfacing work being done on the major bridges.

The following road work will be performed on downtown interstates:

Thursday, September 19: Two left lanes on westbound I-70 from Biddle to Branch at 7 p.m.  All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday.

Friday, September 20: Crews will close two right lanes on westbound I-70 from Biddle to Branch at 7 p.m along with the ramps from the Martin Luther King Bridge and Biddle. The  remaining ramps on and off the interstate for up to three hours for resurfacing work. All lanes and ramps on I-70 will reopen by 5 a.m. Saturday.

Friday, September 20: Work crews will be close the two right lanes of westbound Poplar Street Bridge traffic starting at 8 p.m; then at midnight Saturday, crews will close the right two lanes of eastbound Poplar Street Bridge. All Poplar Street Bridge lanes are to reopen before 5 a.m. Monday.

Saturday, September 21: Starting at midnight, crews will periodically close either the ramp from eastbound I-70 to the Poplar Street Bridge or the ramp from northbound I-55 to the Poplar Street Bridge. Neither ramp will be closed at the same time. Both ramps will be open by 5 a.m. Monday.
