ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - A milestone is in the work on the new Shriners Hospital for Children in the central west end.

The final steel beam was lifted into place Wednesday afternoon.

Patients, caregivers, and Shriner’s signed the beam first.

It is part of a $50 million dollar, 90,000 square foot development, which will replace the hospital's Frontenac location.
