VALLEY PARK, MO (KTVI)-- Exclusive video of a mysterious animal that has been spotted several times in the Valley Park area was give to Fox 2's Anthony Kiekow Wednesday.

The video shows a grey animal that looks similar to a dog, but some Valley Park residents say it is "something" else.

"It looks like a weird Coyote," Eric Londal said.

However, some said it is the mythical "Chupacabra."

The animals are described as looking like dogs or large rodents, with snouts, fangs and a terrible smell.

"I saw like three or four of them," Londal said. "The smell was so bad when it hit me."

Officials with the Missouri Conservation Department said "Chupacabras" do not exist. They also said the animal is likely a dog with mange.

Several animal lovers on the Fox 2 Now Facebook page are considering going to Valley Park this weekend to look for the animal.

They believe it is likely a dog or a coyote and may need care.

But until the animal is officially identified the rumors about what it is will continue.
