ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- Friday the 13th will not be a lucky day for motorists travelling from Missouri into Illinois.

Starting Friday night, the Illinois Department of Transportation will close eastbound Interstate 64 from the Interstate 55-70 split to 25th Street in East St. Louis.

It's all part of the work to complete the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge, tying in new ramps to the newly relocated I-70.

The closure of I-64 will last nine days from 9 pm Friday until 9 am Monday, September 23rd.
