ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - When the Miley Cyrus freak show made news, I resisted. I held off clicking on any news stories about her for about 24 hours. I eventually caved in and had to see what everyone was talking about. I'm not alone.
A research firm just revealed some disturbing numbers. News stories about Miley Cyrus were clicked on 12 times more than news stories about Syria.
That's right, we were 12 times more interested in a freak show than in the potential bombing of another country.
I don't think that bodes well for our future. I'm going to try and resist a little harder next time.
