Suspect in custody after Hollywood & Vine owner robbed

CARLINVILLE, IL (KPLR) – A man is in police custody for battering and robbing bar owner while she was closing for the night.

Deborah Borre, owner of Hollywood and Vine, came into the Carlinville police department lobby suffering from a beating on at 1:30am on Friday. She told police that a black male wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt entered the bar and attacked her. An ambulance took Borre to an area hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

Carlinvile police filed formal charges against Jamal Zollicoffer, 22, after an investigation. He is charged with one count of robbery, and one count of aggravated battery. is now being held at Macoupin County jail on a $75,000 bond.
