Solar panels are not an eyesore

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - I don't see any solar panels in my neighborhood but I would not throw a fit if I did. If there was ever a form of energy that should eliminate controversy it should be power directly from the sun.

Yet it seems in certain communities residents trying to install them on their roof end up being vilified as if they're introducing an eyesore.

Apparently some residents have concerns over the look of solar power or how much space they might take up.

The way I look at it, I don't tell my neighbor what type of roof he should have.  It's his roof, not mine.

And if my neighbor keeps it in his yard who am I to complain.

If I'm missing the point please let me know but I would welcome solar panels in my neighborhood.

If I asked nicely I bet my neighbor would even share some of his power.

I'm JBand that's the way it oughta be.
