ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) - No one enjoys a Monday morning commute, but if you travel the Blanchette Bridge on Interstate 70, your drive should be easier than it has been for months.

That's because all five lanes are back open each way on the bridge.  The lanes all reopened Saturday, but Monday was the first real test for drivers.

All five lanes on the westbound bridge reopened Saturday morning just before 10:30 a.m.   A little less than two hours later, all of the eastbound lanes reopened.

The ramps at Fifth Street to eastbound I-70 are also back open. The westbound bridge was shut down last November for a major face lift.
