(KPLR) – The department of defense Sunday announced the death of two soldiers in Afghanistan, including one from Missouri. 20-year-old Private Jonathon Hostetter of Humphreys, Missouri and a soldier from California were killed Thursday when enemy forces attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device.
Humphreys is about 250 miles northwest of St. Louis.
Both soldiers were assigned to White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
