“Breaking Bad,” “Mad Men,” “30 Rock” Get Emmy Noms

(CNN) — The nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced Thursday morning.

The nominees for best drama are “Breaking Bad,” “Downton Abbey,” “Game of Thrones,” “House of Cards,” “Homeland” and “Mad Men.”

The nominees for best comedy are “30 Rock,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Modern Family,” “Louie,” “Girls” and “Veep.”

The nominees for best actor in a drama are Hugh Bonneville (“Downton Abbey”), Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”), Jeff Daniels (“The Newsroom”), Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), Damian Lewis (“Homeland”) and Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards”).

The nominees for best actress in a drama are Connie Britton (“Nashville”), Claire Danes (“Homeland”), Michelle Dockery (“Downton Abbey”), Vera Farmiga (“Bates Motel”), Elisabeth Moss (“Mad Men”) and Kerry Washington (“Scandal”).

The nominees for best actor in a comedy are Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”), Jason Bateman (“Arrested Development”), Louis C.K. (“Louie”), Don Cheadle (“House of Lies”), Matt LeBlanc (“Episodes”) and Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory”).

The nominees for best actress in a comedy are Laura Dern (“Enlightened”), Lena Dunham (“Girls”), Edie Falco (“Nurse Jackie”), Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep”) and Amy Poehler (“Parks and Recreation”).

“The Amazing Race,” a regular winner in the best reality competition category, is up for the Emmy again, taking on “Top Chef” and “The Voice,” among others.

HBO’s “Phil Spector” did well, with nominations for stars Al Pacino, Helen Mirren and the film itself.

The Emmys will be broadcast Sunday, September 22. The show will air on CBS.
