Sunday Sports Extra: Bryan Cox

(KPLR) – Former NFL star linebacker Bryan Cox dropped by to talk with KPLR11 Sports Director Rich Gould about his 12 years in the NFL, playing for the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots, his son who plays at the University of Florida and his youth football clinic. 

His youth football camp was held this past week at the Jackie Joyner Kersee center in East St. Louis, which was attended by hundreds of kids from the Metro East Area.

Bryan was a three time pro bowler and won a Super Bowl with the Patriots in Super Bowl XXVI.  Bryan is currently a defensive coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Before heading to the NFL, Bryan played high school football in East St. Louis, under Coach Bob Shannon, with the East St. Louis Flyers.

Bryan attended Western Illinois University, playing football and majoring in Mass Communications.
