ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The FBI is calling him the, 'I-55 Bandit.'  They believe one man is responsible for 4 bank robberies that took place in May and July of this year.  The robberies were in cities near Intestate 55.

Here`s a list of the bank robbery dates from this year and the locations:

May 6th, Scott Credit Union, 1067 S. State Route 157, Edwardsville, IL
May 15th, U.S. Bank, 550 Bailey Road, Crystal City, Mo
May 21st, First State Community Bank, 1602 N. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau,
July 2nd, Commerce Bank, 965 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo.

"In all cases the suspected robber handed a teller a demand note, didn`t show any weapons but implied he was armed," said FBI spokesperson Rebecca Wu.

She described the suspect as young, about 18 to 25 years old and tall, about 6`0' to 6`3' tall.  She says the suspect wore a fedora during the first robbery in Edwardsville and then wore a baseball cap in the other robberies, including one with a Chicago Bulls logo.

"We consider him armed and dangerous just because of the fact he has implied in all four cases that he`s armed," said Wu.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for any information that leads to an arrest of the suspect.  Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.
