St. Louis Police Chief’s Sister Charged With DWI

SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KTVI)- A woman has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after a crash Saturday night.  St. Louis police responded to the scene of the accident where the driver, identified as Rebecca Dotson, 39, of St. Louis.  Dotson is the sister of St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson.

The police department says, Ms. Dotson was treated as any other DWI case.

Ms. Dotson said she was traveling south on Clifton Ave. near Odell when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked car. She suffered a minor injury but refused medical attention.

No one else was hurt.

Dotson was taken to a patrol station where a chemical test revealed that she was intoxicated.  The Circuit Attorney's Office issued warrants for DWI.
