COLLINSVILLE, IL. (KPLR) – It's been decades since the old Brooks Catsup factory stopped making it's catsup.

"The world's largest catsup bottle it’s the welcome mat to Collinsville.  It put us on the map and we think of it as our Eiffel Tower," said Mike Gassman.

The old catsup shaped water tower is still a source of pride and celebration for the town.

"It's a little whacky but it’s still something to look out for.  It makes our city special," said Stephanie McGovern.

The 2013 Catsup Festival celebrated the water tower's 64th birthday with a celebration.

The festival had food, drink, craft vendors and plenty of tasting opportunities to sample the catsup.

"It is so unique and one of a kind.  It’s such a cool thing to have in your town," said Debby Birger.
