loverslane(KTVI) — A Wisconsin couple is in trouble with the law for allegedly leaving their baby in the car while they shopped in an adult entertainment store.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, a young couple from Pleasant Prairie is facing  misdemeanor child-endangerment charges for leaving their 9-month old son in the sweltering car while they shopped for sex toys.

The couple was at “Lover’s Lane” in Lebertyville, IL. According to police, on June 22,  the 18-year-old father and 20-year-old mother,  left the child parked in a car without air conditioning for 20 minutes. The couple told police that they left the boy in the car because no one under the age of 18 is allowed inside the store.

The baby was crying and sweating profusely, but police confirmed that he didn’t suffer from any long-term effects.

Both are due in court August 2.
