ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The crowd is packed into downtown for all the celebrations at Fair St. Louis.

The weather has made it a great day for everyone to enjoy the fun and food.

It’s been a great day for this weekend’s events and for many the weather is exactly what they needed to get out of the house.

The 33rd Annual Fair St. Louis kicked off its 4th of July weekend with plenty of food, fun and flying. The air show had hundreds of thousands of spectators who were in awe of the air acrobatics. There was also plenty of food.

It`s also the first time the Tuskegee Airmen have participated in the event. They had an exhibit on hand where visitors got a real sense of the history made by the Air Force Red Tail Squadron during World War II, four of them are from St. Louis.

Other events are scheduled for the rest of the weekend. Country superstar Trace Adkins performed Thursday night.
