SACRAMENTO, CA. (CNN) – Halle Berry is looking for a little celebrity justice.

Here you see the movie star entering a California courtroom earlier today (Tuesday).

She’s in favor of senate bill 6-0-6.

That calls for penalizing paparazzi who harass the children of celebrities.

The first time a photographer or reporter is found guilty, the penalty could be up to six-months in jail and a fine or both.

The fines and jail time would increase with each conviction.

The bill cleared through the committee later in the day.
