ST. LOUIS, MO. (KPLR) – The Central West End’s security initiative is seeing success and is ready to expand.

The area’s neighborhood security imitative says the crime rate has dropped 40 percent since 2008, according to the city police department’s crime index.

The organization is now expanding and relocating to a new location, which will also serve as a police substation.

The group is also working with Washington University Medical Center to add more security cameras in the area.

The public is invited to check out the new office on 447 North Euclid from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm tonight and learn more about resources and security programs.
